Event Details

Maple Grove Cemetery has been a historical landmark in the community of Kew Gardens with over 150 years of history and more than 88,000 permanent residents within its boundaries. However, in the recent years, due to the efforts of the Friends of Maple Grove organization, it has also become a cultural hub. The cemetery, with its beauty and greenery, continues to organize programs such as Trunk or treat, Spirits alive, Civil war reenactment, kids’ educational programs, etc. for the entire community to enjoy. The newly built Center building too hosts classical music and jazz concerts, murder mystery dinners, book openings, art exhibitions, painting and jewelry making workshops, magic shows and much more. All of this is done to celebrate the people who are buried at Maple Grove Cemetery, to preserve their legacies and to pass on their life’s stories. No one wants to be forgotten. And, at Maple Grove Cemetery, no one is forgotten.
